The Kryptonian

He traveled a great distance to get here. He did it un- willingly. To save his life, his parents blasted him off into outer space. To preserve their heritage they sent him to Earth. As his craft left the atmosphere, the ground began to crack. Oceans covered entire continents, and volcanoes began to erupt.  People were crushed, drowned, extinguished from existence.  The craft had reached a great distance by the time the planet had silently exploded. Fragments of the planet raced through space, eventually catching up with the fleeing craft. The speed of the craft helped pull the fragments with it to their new destination. Years had passed as the craft glided through space. The infant was now a toddler. The child was nurtured by the craft.  by year three, the boy had entered a new Galaxy, we call the Milky Way. The craft raced toward their new home with ever increasing speeds. The fragments in pursuit have become radioactive over time.  The craft enters the atmosphere. The heat does not affect the ship as it is made from an alien alloy. The craft enters the stratosphere and races towards a proper location with the right conditions for the boy to develop. A hail of fragments follow through the atmosphere, but break up and spread all over the new planet. The craft crashes into the earth just as an older couple drive into town. The car is flipped onto it's side and the passengers are unharmed. As they are gathering themselves, the craft opens and the boy comes out. He walks over to the turned over car and greets his new parents for the first time.  Growing up was not easy for him. His alien abilities have been developing from the moment he arrived on the planet and only grew stronger with age. He lived in fear that his secret would be exposed and he would be taken from the parents he grew to love. As a teenager, he made a choice to live as a Human being in the most forgettable way. He wore a pair of glasses, and got himself into as many accidents as possible. The other kids would laugh at him. He even let them stuff him into a locker from time to time. Back at home, he would man the farm single handed.  His adoptive parent's had no answers to give him about where he came from, but the craft he came in had all of his answers. He learned about the errors of his people, as well as their achievements. He realized his purpose at a young age, but feared exposing his secret to the world. It took him years to develop the courage he lacked. It was not until he perused his career in Journalism, when the injustices in the world became clearer to him.  Governments were failing their people, people were going hungry, People were being killed in genocide. The world was full of potential, but needed guidance. The world needed a symbol. He needed to face his fears. All of his life he had wanted to not just live among us, but to be one of us. He also wanted to be himself. He made a new decision which was to live as two people. Himself and his human disguise. People were rioting and looting. Havoc had taken over. Law enforcement was out numbered. The people had become tired of the lies told by their politicians.  A new class of villain was born. The "Super Villain." The military marched down the streets of Metropolis loaded with tanks and guns. Angry Civilians Marched towards them armed with machine guns and rifles. The two groups grew closer and closer. The tension grew stronger and stronger. Everyone was gripped with fear and anger. Both sides wanted to end this, but couldn't. Once the two groups were within eyesight they raced towards each other hooting and hollering.  The yelling was interrupted by a loud BOOM. The moon was full and bright. A silhouette hovered in front of it. A red cape flapped in the air.  The man in the sky hovered with his hands together. The two groups realized the BOOM was but a clap and stared at the man in the sky. His eyes glowed red. He lowered himself to the ground. No one has ever seen a man do what he had done. No one had ever seen a man fly.  In an authoritative voice he told  everyone to "go home." Speechless they did. Throughout the night he made saves around the world. People feared him at first, but began to see he was helping. In time people would cry for him. He had become their savior. He was accepted.
